Jim Corbett National Park was established in 1936 in the British Empire. The name of the Park was Hailey National Park after the name of William Malcolm Hailey a governor of the British Empire. Later in 1956, it was changed by named after a British Hunter turned conversationalist Jim Corbett who played an important role in preservation of the wildlife.
Jim Corbett National Park has more than 450 species of Animals. This Park is located in the foothills of Himalayas with the beautiful natural scenery, Project Tiger was first initiated in Jim Corbett National Park.

This place is 35 Km away from the Jim Corbett National Park. This is one of the most visited and liked places in Uttarakhand by Visitors. Lansdowne was established in 1887 as the cantonment of the British Government. It was named after Lord Lansdowne viceroy of India.
It is the nearest hill station to the National Capital New Delhi, It can be reached either by train or by road. The nearest railway station is Kotdwar at a distance of 44 KM.

Haldwani is located at a distance of 52 KM from the Jim Corbett National Park. Haldwani is the largest city of Kumaon and is the third most populous city and the largest market in Uttarakhand. Haldwani was earlier known as the Halduvani means the forest of Haldu ( Haldinia Cordifolia generally known as Kadamba) this name was changed by George William Traill the British Commissioner of Kumau in 1834.

3- Nainital
